This Privacy Policy describes how VideoNote ("we", "us") handles information when you use our website (https://videonote.familylove.love) and our browser extension YoutubeNote – AI Notes for YouTube Videos (the "Extension"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information. When you create an account or sign in with Google, we collect your email address and display name. Your Google password is never shared with us.
• Content you process. YouTube video URLs you submit, the transcripts we retrieve or generate for them, and the notes, summaries, chat messages, mind maps and slides you create ("Your Notes").
• Credits and billing records. Your credit balance and top-up records, kept to provide the pay-as-you-go service.
• Local browser data. The Extension stores your login session token and preferences locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local). This data stays on your device and is sent only to our backend to authenticate you.

2. How We Use Information

• To create and manage your account and keep you signed in.
• To provide the core features: transcripts, AI summaries, chat, mind maps and slides for YouTube videos.
• To maintain your notes library so you can view, share and export Your Notes.
• To track credit usage and process top-ups.
• To provide customer support and prevent abuse of the Service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Third-Party Processing

• Google Sign-In. When you use "Sign in with Google", Google authenticates you and provides us your basic profile (email, name). Google's handling of that data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• AI service providers. To generate transcripts and AI notes, video content and text are processed by third-party AI service providers acting on our behalf. They process this data solely to deliver the result to us and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

4. Data Storage & Retention

Your Notes and account data are stored on our servers. Your login token is stored locally in your browser. You can delete individual notes at any time from the Service; deleting a note removes it from your library.

5. Your Choices & Rights

• You may access, edit and delete Your Notes from within the Service.
• You may sign out of the Extension at any time, which removes the locally stored session.
• You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing us at the address below. We will process verified requests within a reasonable timeframe.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" above shows the latest version. Material changes will be announced on the website.
